ROLE MODEL mOCK SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

This project was created for a graphic design course. I created a 4 slide social media carousel for the artist ROLE MODEL. The concept of this campaign was to get buzz around a (fictitious) upcoming sync placement for a song on ROLE MODEL’s last album, Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye). My intention with this project was to show successful traction in recent popular shows and movies, and to get him more sync placements in the future.

The hero image acts as a teaser for the carousel, hinting that something new is coming. I included symbolism from the Toy Story movies as easter eggs for viewers, like the red and yellow plaid background to showcase Woody’s flannel, and the ‘rm’ logo on Role Model’s boot, similar to how Andy’s name is written on Woody’s cowboy boot.

My intention with the second slide in this carousel was to showcase Role Model’s recent success with sync placements in popular media that has come out recently, including the Netflix series’ Too Much and Nobody Wants This, the new season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Colleen Hoover’s movie Regretting You.

This slide acts as the upcoming movie’s soundtrack announcement, showcasing a song off of Role Model’s deluxe version of his sophomore album “Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye)”. I chose this song specifically because the melody is reminiscent of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”, which was previously used in the Toy Story franchise soundtrack.

The final slide in this carousel is the call to action.
